Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 2 1/4 cups flour – more if needed

Method

  • Roll in balls, dip in cold water then in sugar.
  • Bake at 350-degrees for 15 minutes.
