Ingredients
Cube roast beef in 3/4-inch cubes
1 tablespoon shortening
Melt shortening in stewing pot; brown cubes and simmer until done.
Sauce
(for 1 1/4 kilos of beef)
2/3 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
2 tablespoon dry mustard
1/2 cup vinegar
1 can pineapple chunks, undrained
1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
2 tablespoon soy sauce
Salt & pepper to taste
Method
Mix all {sauce} ingredients together, cook over a low fire, stirring constantly, until sauce is thick and glossy.
