Sweet and Sour Spare Ribs

Ingredients

3 pounds of spare ribs

1 cup pineapple chunks drained
1 medium green pepper, cut in 1/2-inch pieces
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1/2 cup pineapple juice
1/3 cup vinegar
1/2 cup catsup, optional
*I add 1 cup of brown sugar, makes it better

2 tablespoons cornstarch
2 tablespoons water

Method

Boil spare ribs about one hour, then bake a while. 

Combine pineapple chunks, green pepper, soy sauce, pineapple juice, vinegar, along with catsup and brown sugar, if desired. Bring to a boil then thicken with 2 tablespoons of cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons of water. 

Pour marinade over spare ribs and cook for 5 minutes.
