8 pounds cucumbers 2 cups lime 2 gallons water Soak 24 hours and wash. Make syrup cold 2 quarts vinegar 9 cups sugar 2 tablespoons salt 2 tablespoons allspice 1 tablespoon celery seed Soak three hours in syrup. Then bring to a rolling boil and boil for thirty minutes. Pack in hot jars – seal.
