1 8 3/4-ounce can crushed pineapple
1 14-ounce package orange muffin mix
2/3 cup milk
1 egg

4 tablespoons butter, melted
1/4 cup pecans
1 3-ounce cream cheese


Drain pineapple, reserving syrup. Combine muffin mix, pineapple, milk, and egg. Stir just until dry ingredients are moist. Fill greased  2.5-inch muffin pans 2/3 full. Bake at 400-degrees (15-20 minutes) dip the tops of warm muffins in melted butter then in chopped pecans. Beat cream cheese with 1 tablespoon syrup until fluffy. Serve with warm muffins. 

Make 9 muffins.
