Clinkerdagger's Steak Soup

- 1/2 cup margarine
- 3/4 cup chopped onions
- 3/4 cup chopped carrots
- 1/2 cup diced celery
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 pound ground beef
- 1 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 8- ounce can tomatoes
- 1/3 cup beef stock base
- 1/2 cup mixed vegetables
Melt butter in large pan; add: onions, carrots, and celery, saute; add beef and cook about 15 minutes.
Add flour, stir until well blended.
Add half water, cook 10 minutes.
Add tomatoes and beef stock.
Cook 10 minutes, add remaining water and vegetables, cook 10 minutes longer.
