Frozen Fruit Salad

Ingredients

Jell-O
Mixed fruit, strawberry, lemon or orange-pineapple gelatin.

salt

boiling water

can
pineapple tidbits, drain & save juice
8 3/4 ounce can
1/4
cup
lemon juice
1/3
cup
mayonnaise
1
cup
whipping cream
(or use 2 cups sour cream)
1
medium
banana
1/2
cup
seeded halved grapes
1/4
cup
diced marachino cherries
1/4
cup
chopped nuts
Method
Dissolve gelatin and salt in boiling water.
Drain pineapple, reserving syrup; add water to make 1/2 cup if necessary.
Stir into gelatin, add lemon juice.
Blend in mayonnaise.
Chill until very thick.
Whip cream into gelatin.
Pour into freezing trays or a 9x5x3-inch loaf pan.
Freeze until firm - at least three hours.
To serve, cut in squares or slices.
