A vintage handwritten recipe for Sandies, the perfect cookie for any event. These Sandies are made with butter, chopped nuts, confectioners' sugar, flour, vanilla, and water.

- 1 cup butter (I use 2 sticks oleo)
- 1 cup chopped nuts
- 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1 tbsp water
Mix all with softened butter.
Roll in 1 1/2-inch rolls (I use my fingers) and bake in slow oven, 350-degrees, until lightly browned.
When done, cool slightly and roll in confectioners' sugar.
