Karo Easy Pecan Pie
A clipped recipe from Karo syrup for a Easy Pecan Pie, make this pie with eggs, light or dark Karo syrup, sugar, Mazola margarine, vanilla, pecans, and an unbaked pie shell.

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs slightly beaten
  • 1 cup Karo light or dark corn syrup
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons MAZOLA margarine melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups pecan halves
  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell

Method

  • In a large bowl stir the first five ingredients until well blended.
  • Stir in pecans.
  • Pour into the pie shell.
  • Bake in 350-degree oven 50 to 55 minutes or until knife inserted halfway between center and edge comes out clean.
  • Cool.

Chocolate Pecan Pie

  • Follow recipe for Easy Pecan Pie.
  • Melt 4 squares (1 ounce each) semisweet chocolate with margarine.
