Creole Spaghetti

Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound spaghetti
  • 1 pint canned tomatoes
  • 3/4 cup sliced or chopped onion
  • 1 pound hamburger steak
  • 1/2 cup oil or butter
  • 1/2 cup grated cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Method

  • Cook spaghetti in salted water until tender.
  • Cook tomato, salt, and onion in the fat in an iron skillet until onion is tender but not too brown.
  • Add hamburger to the onion mixture.
  • Stir and cook until all the red color has left the meat.
  • Then add the drained spaghetti and grated cheese.
  • Mix carefully with a fork.
  • Put into a casserole and reheat in over about 15 minutes.
