Borden's Fudge Brownies
A vintage clipped recipe from Borden's for Fudge Brownies made with chocolate chips, butter, baking mix, Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk, an egg, and vanilla extract.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips (12 ounces)
  • 1/4 cup margarine or butter
  • 2 cups biscuit baking mix
  • 1 can Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk (14-ounce)
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • In a large saucepan, over low heat, melt 1 cup cips with margarine; remove from heat.
  • Add biscuit mix, sweetened condensed milk, egg and vanilla.
  • Stir in remaining 1 cup of chips.
  • Turn into a well greased 13x9-inch baking pan.
  • Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from the sides of pan.
  • Cool.
  • Garnish as desired.
  • Cut into bars. Store tightly covered at room temperature.
