Fruit Cake Cookies
A vintage handwritten recipe for classic Fruit Cake Cookies made with mixed fruit, coconut, flour, salt, pecans, and Eagle Brand Milk.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound mixed fruit
  • 1 can coconut 3.5 ounces
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • pinch salt
  • 2 cups chopped pecans
  • 1 can Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk

Method

  • Dredge fruit in flour.
  • Add salt, coconut, and nuts.
  • Add Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk and mix thoroughly.
  • Drop by spoonfuls on greased cookie sheet.
  • Bake for 25 to 30 minutes in a preheated {275 degree} oven.
  • Store cooled cookies in an airtight container about five days before serving.
