Dressing 1
Dressing 2

Dressing 1

2 Cups Corn Bread 
2 Slices Light Bread
2 Eggs
1 Small Onion
1/4 Teaspoon Black Pepper
1/4 Teaspoon Sage
1/4 Teaspoon Celery Salt
Dash Salt
1 1/2 Cup Chicken Broth

Bake at 425 Degrees for 20 or 25 minutes. 

 

Dressing 2 

3 Cups Corn Bread Crumbs
3 Slices Loaf Bread (Browned and Crust removed)
3 Raw Eggs
1 Stick Oleo {Margarine or Butter}
1/4 Cup Chopped Celery
1 Onion Chopped
1 Teaspoon Salt
Sage to Taste
3 Cups Chicken Broth
 

{Saute} onions, celery in butter before putting them in dressing. 

Mix all and bake.

 

Notes:
I found two dressing recipes in the collection. They are both very similar, but I have included both recipes.

The image of Dressing 2 is hard to read as it written on the back of an envelope meant to obfuscate the contents of the envelope.

The note at the bottom of Dressing 2 reads "Hilda Bryan - I used this and added 3 times the amount and it made 2 big dishes to bake. I used broth from a boiled chicken (hen) and 1 can Sweet Sue bought broth". Hilda Bryan was one of my Grandmother's friends, so I guess they were comparing recipe notes. I am assuming this is Hilda's recipe, similar to my Grandmother's "Dressing 1" recipe.
