Fudge Upside Down Cake


1 cup flour
2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoons salad oil


Stir together all dry ingredients. Put milk, vanilla, and shortening together. Add to dry ingredients. Put into a greased 8-inch pan. 

Mix together 2 teaspoons cocoa, 3/4 cup brown sugar and sprinkle over dough.  Pour 1 3/4 cups hot water over top. 

Bake at 350-degrees for 40 minutes.
