Ingredients

1 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
2 cups flour, sifted
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 tablespoon water
1 1/2 cups ground or chopped nuts
hand-full of pecan halves

Method

Cream butter and sugar, mix remaining ingredients in the order mentioned…

Chill just slightly to firm butter, then roll in small balls (marble-sized) and arrange on cookie sheet……press pecan half on top of each….back 10 — 12 minutes at 325 to 350-degrees…instead of pecans, can roll cookies in granulated sugar after baking and still warm….
