Stuffed Peppers

Stuffed Peppers, a vintage handwritten recipe


6 green peppers
4 slices bacon or salt pork, chopped
1 cup onions, chopped
3/4 pound ham, ground
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon paprika
2 cups cooked rice
1/2 cup water


Cut tops - remove core and seeds from peppers. 

Saute bacon until crisp, add onions and cook until slightly brown. Add ham - brown, stir in salt, paprika. Fill peppers with mixture.

Place in greased pan, add water - cover - bake in moderate oven (350-degrees) for 40 minutes. Remove cover and bake 10 minutes longer.
