3/4 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
2 cups sifted flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon ginger
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chopped nuts


Cream butter, add sugar gradually and beat well. Add unbeaten eggs. Sift dry ingredients together; stir into butter mixture. Fold in vanilla and nuts. Chill for several hours. 

Make small balls. Dip balls into sugar. Place on a greased cookie sheet – press down with a for. 

Bake at 375-degrees for 8-10 minutes.
