Custard Pie


3 egg yolks
1 tablespoon flour
3 tablespoons sugar
Pinch of salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
Grated nutmeg
3 egg whites, beaten
1 pint of milk

Puff pastry


Beat the yolks of 3 eggs to a cream, stir and sift many times 1 tablespoon flour into 3 {tablespoons} of sugar, add to yolks, {and} a pinch of salt, 1 teaspoon vanilla, a little grated nutmeg, then the beaten whites and a pint of milk which has been heated and cooled, mix this in by degrees and put into a deep pie tin lined with puff pastry. Bake 25 to 30 minutes.
