Biscuits - Verdin

Ingredients

2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
Salt
2 tablespoons lard
Milk

Egg
Milk or melted butter

Method

2 cups sifted flour with 2 teaspoons baking powder and a little salt, add 2 tablespoons lard, handle as little as possible when the milk is added. Make a dough that comes loose from the dish. Add an egg if desired and brush with milk or melted butter and bake in a hot oven [400 to 450-degrees].
