Apple Cake

Apple Cake, a vintage handwritten recipe card.

Ingredients

4 cups coarsely diced apples, peeled and cored
2 cups white sugar
1/2 cup oil
1 cup chopped nuts
2 well-beaten eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 tablespoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon salt

Method

Mix apples and sugar. Add oil, nuts, eggs, and vanilla.  Add dry ingredients together and mix to moist mixture. 

Bake in a 9x9x2 greased pan at 350-degrees for 1 hour. 

Serve with Cool Whip or ice cream.
