Peach Butterscotch Crisp

Peach Butterscotch Crisp, a vintage typed recipe card.


3/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons melted butter
3/4 cup packaged biscuit mix
1/4 teaspoons cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 #2 1/2 can peach halves (or peel and pit 4 or 5 fresh peaches)


Mix 3/4 cup brown sugar with 2 tablespoons melted butter. Stir in 3/4 cup packaged biscuit mix and 1/4 teaspoon each cinnamon and nutmeg, making a crumbly mixture. Drain a No 2 1/2 can peach halves (or peel and pit 4 or 5 fresh peaches). Cut each half in 2 or 3 pieces and arrange in buttered 6 x 10 x 2 - inch baking dish.  Sprinkle crumb mixture over all. Bake at 375-degrees (moderate) 30 to 40 minutes, until crumbs are browned. Serve warm, with plain or whipped cream or ice cream. 

Makes 6 servings.
