Ingredients
1 1/2 cup sifted all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon allspice
1/2 cup margarine
1 cup sugar
3 eggs, well beaten
1/2 cup milk
2 cups rolled oats (uncooked)
1 cup dates (chopped)
1/2 cup coconut
1/2 cup nuts (chopped)
Method
Combine flour, baking powder, salt, soda, and spices; sift twice. Cream fat, gradually add sugar and cream until light and fluffy. Add eggs to creamed mixture and stir in oats and milk. Sift flour over dates, coconut, and nuts, and mix well. Stir into oatmeal mixture and mix well. Drop by teaspoons on a greased cookie sheet, 3-inches apart.
Bake 350-degrees, 10 or 12 minutes, or until lightly browned.
Makes 3 dozen.
