Coca-Cola Cake

Coca-Cola Cake
- 2 cups flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 sticks oleo
- 2 tablespoons cocoa
- 1 cup Coke
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 1/2 cup miniature marshmallows
Coca-Cola Icing
- 1/2 cup oleo
- 2 tablespoons cocoa
- 6 tablespoons Coke
- 1 box confectioners sugar
- 1 cup chopped nuts
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Method
Coca-Cola Cake
- Sift flour and sugar in bowl.
- Heat oleo, cocoa, and Coke to boiling; pour over flour and sugar mixture.
- Add milk, soda, salt, eggs, and vanilla.
- Beat well – last add marshmallows.
- This will be a thin batter.
- Grease and flour oblong pan.
- Pour in cake batter and bake at 350-degree oven for 30 – 35 minutes or until done.
Coca-Cola Icing
- Heat to boiling 1/2 cup oleo, 2 tablespoons cocoa, 6 tablespoons Coke.
- Take from heat and pour in one box confectioner’s sugar.
- Add 1 cup chopped nuts and 1 teaspoon vanilla.
- Spread over hot cake.
