Ingredients

4 cups navy beans
1/2 pound salt pork
3/4 cup molasses
1 teaspoon dry mustard
2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper

Catsup or chili {sauce} may be used for flavoring if desired

Method

Soak beans for three hours in boiling water, cover, bring to a boil, cook 50 minutes, drain, saving 3 cups of water. Cut meat, add all ingredients, cover and bake in a slow oven 3 1/2 hours, uncover for last hour. Catsup or Chilli {Sauce} may be used for flavoring if desired.
