Caramel Brownies

Caramel Brownies, a vintage typed recipe card


2 beaten eggs
2 cups brown sugar, packed
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups chopped nuts


Beat together 2 beaten eggs, 2 cups brown sugar - packed, 1 cup flour. Sift together and add 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves, 1/4 teaspoon soda, 1/4 teaspoon salt. Stir in 2 cups chopped nuts. 

Pour into buttered 10x6-inch or 8-inch square pan. Bake 30-40 minutes in hot oven (400-degrees) and cut into squares while still warm.
