Ingredients
Baking Powder Biscuits
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
3 teaspoon Baking Powder
1 large tablespoon shortening rubbed in thoroughly
Enough milk to make a stiff dough
Method
Use baking powder biscuit dough, roll out to about 1/2 inch and cut in a good size square.
On each, place an apple that has been pared, cored, and sliced. Put one teaspoon sugar with one teaspoon butter on each and cinnamon. Wet edges of the dough and fold around apple and press tightly together.
Place in a pan, sprinkle with cinnamon and a piece of butter. Bake 40 minutes. Serve with a hard sauce.
Peaches may be used instead of apples.
