Spinach Dip – a classic party dip

Spinach Dip

Spinach dip is a classic party appetizer that is always a hit with guests. It has spinach, mayonnaise, sour cream, and Knorr vegetable soup mix. The water chestnuts and green onions add a bit of crunch and freshness to the dip.

Ingredients:

  • 1 (10-ounce) package of frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
  • 1 1/2 cups sour cream
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 (1.4-ounce) packet of Knorr vegetable soup mix
  • 1 (8-ounce) can water chestnuts, drained and chopped
  • green onions, thinly sliced

Instructions:

  1. Combine the spinach, sour cream, mayonnaise, soup mix, water chestnuts, and green onions in a large bowl.
  2. Cover and chill for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  3. Serve with your favorite dippers, such as tortilla chips, pita bread, or vegetables.

Tips:

  • Add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the mixture for a spicier dip.
  • For a healthier dip, use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream.
  • Use a dry onion soup mix if you don’t have Knorr vegetable soup mix.

Variations:

  • You can also add other ingredients to your spinach dip, such as chopped cooked bacon, crumbled cooked sausage, or chopped cheese.
  • For a more festive presentation, serve your spinach dip in a hollowed-out loaf of bread.
  • Spinach dip is also excellent served as a spread on sandwiches or wraps.

Enjoy!

Spinach dip is a quick, easy, and delicious appetizer that will surely please your guests. With its creamy texture, flavorful ingredients, and variety of dipper options, spinach dip is a classic for a reason.
